A husband and wife in their 60s visited urgent care a week after returning from a one-month vacation at their timeshare in Hawaii. They each initially reported nausea and vomiting. They went on to describe stabbing pain in different areas of their bodies – including neck pain, severe headaches, abdominal pain, and paresthesias. Because of their recent vacation, their physician asked about food exposures. They reported that they had prepared fresh vegetables from local sources like a farmers’ market.
