A 45-year-old man went to his primary care doctor complaining about pruritic skin lesions on his foot and lower leg. The lesions looked like someone had drawn red lines on his leg in a serpiginous configuration. He couldn’t recall doing anything out of the ordinary recently other than a trip to Puerto Rico three weeks earlier. During the trip he and his wife had mostly stayed close to their hotel, just walking down the dirt path to the beach.
