How long have you been with VisualDx? Since October 2018
Describe your typical workday: I review diagnosis write-ups that come to us from medical professionals and polish them up where needed. I also email a lot with our authors and editors to usher the write-ups through from the initial assignment to the version that’s published in VisualDx. And I help update our texts as new articles come out about research studies, therapy approaches, etc. I’m learning every day!
Things we might find in your workspace/office: Lots of photos, mementos, and inspirational quotes. I like to surround myself with little bits of cheeriness.
Recent great read: The Dive from Clausen’s Pier, by Ann Packer
Guilty pleasure: Watching a cheesy romantic comedy (often one I’ve already seen a dozen times), under a blanket, with popcorn or some form of chocolate. Or both.
Currently binge-watching: The Morning Show! And I could re-watch Friends, The Office, and Gilmore Girls indefinitely.
First job: Cashier at the Hilton Big M
What’s something you want to do in the next year that you’ve never done before? Finish writing the book manuscript I’ve been working on for a few years. Go to Italy. Donate blood.
Favorite part about working at VisualDx: Putting my word-nerd interests to use as one piece of a puzzle that’s helping the vast, ever-evolving field of medicine. And being surrounded by intelligent people who are passionate about what they do and kind to one another.
VisualDx wouldn’t be possible without a talented and committed team of people working behind the scenes. This is our way of introducing and celebrating the unique people behind VisualDx.
