An 18-month-old was brought to the pediatrician by his mother after his cold got significantly worse and he developed a dry, barking cough. His voice also sounded hoarse to her and he had developed a fever. She also noted that he was much more tired than usual, preferring to just sit on her lap with his head resting on her.
