Woman has sudden-onset tachycardia, chest pain – Let’s diagnose

A 42-year-old woman presented to the emergency room with chest pain, palpitations, exertional dyspnea, and fatigue that developed within the last day. On physical examination, tachycardia was present. Lab examination results showed elevated creatine kinase and troponin levels were increased. Electrocardiogram showed global ventricular dysfunction. The patient had a history of treatment-resistant schizophrenia and was recently prescribed clozapine, which she had been taking for the last two weeks, prior to onset of symptoms.
