About the Presenter:

Chesahna Kindred, MD, MBA, FAAD is a board-certified dermatologist born in Oakland and raised in South Central Los Angeles. She is the president of Kindred Hair & Skin Center in Columbia, Maryland, and medical director of VisualDx, where she serves as a liaison to the physician community and an advocate for the delivery of equitable, unbiased care for people of color.

Additionally, Dr. Kindred is chair of the dermatology section at the National Medical Association, associate professor at Howard University, founder and president of Onyx Medical Society, leader of the health committee of the African American Roundtable of Howard County, and deacon at Celebration Church. As a speaker and published author, Dr. Kindred’s work and research culminate to improve race equity. She is lives in Howard County with her husband, Jamahl, and two children, Machela and Kingston.
