Synopsis
Individuals who are immunocompromised (such as from chronic kidney disease, diabetes mellitus, autoimmune disorders, and malignancies, including leukemia or lymphoma) may have an altered presentation of gout and an increased risk of complications, including bacterial infections complicating ulcerated tophi.
