Synopsis
Onychopapilloma is a rare asymptomatic benign tumor of the distal nail matrix and nail bed. The pathogenesis of onychopapilloma is unknown. Onychopapilloma typically occurs on a single digit, most commonly the thumb, followed by the second finger. Onychopapilloma can be a diagnostic challenge as it typically presents with longitudinal erythronychia that may mimic neoplasms and other inflammatory disorders clinically.
